Hookt on Faonics
Hookt on Faonics wirkt for me!
I am not afraid to stand and be counted with my brothers and sisters in g33kdom.

... As if anyone is surprised by that.

I'm talking about fanfiction. No, not slash or hentai or whatever it's currently known as. Just your basic ficcage. I very rarely write fanfic anymore, but on rare occasions (I'm sure it's some sort of rare celestial alignment that triggers it) it happens. I've been LucyntSky and PolythnePm for a couple Beatle 'zines (this was during the stone age of the internets, understand!), went by SkyBlueandBlack for awhile -- still do, here and there -- and now I go by Faolan or Chibi-Faolan most places. As a Beatle and occasional Who fanfic writer, my name was Katy, but let's face it. That's not the rarest name around!

Anyway, if you're here for the ficcage, I've got several short stories, a few unfinished novellas, and a couple snippets stored here on LJ. You can find those via the [Index] link (for those familiar with the LJ system, that'd be the Memories tool). I've also linked a few favorites from other authors in there. However, I do have a few pieces uploaded elsewere, namely:
Our Generation  a Beatles fic I wrote in '98 that still gets read and, better yet, praised! :3
Dream Away  also a Beatle...ish kinda fic that is quite old and is unfinished, but once in awhile someone randomly asks me to finish it. Maybe...
Moonbeat  a Beatles - Sailormoon crossover. Again, quite old and in the process of being overhauled. Most of it's up to read, though.
BW!FY  a round-robin... literary... venture. Thing. This is what college students do instead of studying.

I'm into visual arts, too. I tend to design my own LJ layouts, for one thing, not to mention the occasional layout for someone else. ^^ Yes, it's fun for me... and it's fine to smile and nod, I understand. XD But I also enjoy taking pictures and even sitting down with a sketchpad -- though that activity's gotten almost as rare as writing fanfic anymore. T_T

I might show off the occasional drawing or photo here, but you'll find the bulk of them basically in two places: my [Scrapbook] here on LJ and my [DeviantART] profile. The contents of the Scrapbook are more extensive, but I've accumulated a pretty large favorites gallery there which is definitely worth perusing!

And finally, I've begun to notice that some of my Gaian friends have been dropping by. I tend to joke that I'm schizophrenically Gaian...
Yes, if you know me from Gaia, you're certainly welcome here. Keep in mind that I've got a memory like swiss cheese, though, so if you want to add me to your friends list on LJ, you might want to drop me a note to make sure I make the connection between your LJ and Gaia selves. lol!

Enough of my babbling! This entry is intended to be an all-purpose guestbook, so however you ended up here, feel free to jot a note down there and let me know you stopped by!

Enough about you, what about me!

... Momma, you write fanfiction, too?!?

Wish I had more time to really investigate everything. I'll try to come back more often. As it is, I barely have time to check my own email! Thanks for inviting me in! I really needed to feel included today:) Tennis anyone?
7th-Nov-2005 03:30 am (UTC)
*huggles* You know, there is an anime called "Prince of Tennis."

Ne, Sera-chan, should I show that one to Okaa-san?

I clicked "reply to this". What does "(Thread)" mean? Why does one response have "(Thread)" and the other have "(Parent)"? What do they do differently from each other? Why are they there? This is all so new to me! A new Revolation!

"Thread" is a series of responses, while "Parent" refers to the originating post or response; I submit this entry as an example.

Whether you keep up your own blog or not, I'll suggest creating a LiveJournal account (which is free) so you can sign in and not leave posts as "anonymous", for instance, plus you can have a "friends list" to view recent entries from whichever users or communities you specify. It's really handy.

... and is that "revelation" or "revolution"?

It's teh faolan!! ^_^ Likin' the layout.

Great story. Will there be more than the 20 chapters posted? I'd love to read more.

2nd-Nov-2007 04:08 pm (UTC) - "Dream Away"
I really wish you would finish "Dream Away" or at least work on it. It's such a magnificent fanfic. What would it take to encourage you or get you to work on it again? ^_^
21st-Jan-2008 04:20 am (UTC) - Dream Away
I'm not prodding you to finish it, but I'm just letting you know that it's really great. George's dialogue is perfect.

I'm off to read it again. It's simply that good!

Cheers. :D

I popped in for just a quick second. I should have known this is a Tar Baby! I'll pot in again sometime. Can't stay. Already been sitting for over 30 minutes. Must move.

Love you

Well, that was unexpected... true, not as unexpected as <url="http://community.livejournal.com/faonics/5966.html?thread=10574#t10574">this one</a>... but then again, Mum, you did promise to investigate further... four years, two weeks and two days ago. Wait... a day and a half, my bad. XD

Gah. When you speak three languages, you're bound to mix them up occasionally... especially when they're as alike as BBCode and HTML are.

This one. o_O;
6th-Dec-2009 04:46 am (UTC) - O HAI!
Call me Beatleboy62, as that's my alias on a bunch of other sites. I prersonally love 'Our Generation' as it fully recognizes the hopes and dreams of time and space travel for every nerd out there, including me!

I plan to read Moonbeat inbthe future, even though I have no clue what Sailor Moon is!
